The oral fixation

Our children have inherited my predisposition for oral fixation. Catherine has been sucking her thumb since 4 months old. Jack decided that when his Mommy took away his pacifier he'd just suck on one of his little puppy dog's feet (as evidenced by the poor little guy hanging out of Jack's mouth). We had to buy 5 puppies because I'm constantly washing them. Ick! The puppies are going to make a one-way trip to "the farm in the country" soon. Don't think we can do the same thing with Chatty's thumb though!
